Each ingredient has been carefully selected to ensure you hair has a holistic experience.
KAKADU PLUM
An Australian Native known for its incredibly high Vitamin C content, in fact it contains the world’s highest concentration, beating the humble orange 50 times over. Vitamin C is an important component of producing collagen and is one of the most effective nutrients to help grow and strengthen hair. Not to mention, being so high in antioxidants it is able to fight those nasty free radicals.
WHITE CYPRESS
Another amazing Australian Native that is showing remarkable promise in its ability to work against hair loss by being an inhibitor to DHT (the hormone to make you lose hair). It contains procyanidins which have been shown to promote hair growth and lengthen the anagen phase (the growing phase) of the follicle. Also high in antioxidants that help fight the free radicals which can contribute to hair loss. I’m sure we be hearing a LOT more from scientists about this plant in the future.
SAW PALMETTO
This is a powerhouse ingredient that you will find in all our products. Saw Palmetto has been studied by scientists for decades on its ability to inhibit DHT. Considering we know just how important this ingredient is for hair loss, we use a 25% active extract in powder form.
COFFEE EXTRACT
Who doesn’t love coffee? This is another ingredient that has had its benefits for hair loss studied for decades. The studies have shown that it is not only a powerful DHT blocker, but also assists with the growth of hair.
MONGONGO OIL
From the Mongongo Tree in South Africa, is full of Vitamin E, Omega 6, Copper, Iron, Calcium, and magnesium. This oil is highly conditioning for your hair and scalp and is also used as a protection from UV rays and heat. Whilst not widely known about around the world yet, with its highly nutritious ingredients for hair, it is bound to be a well-known name soon, we just got in first!
MARULA OIL
Another South African marvel, marula oil is very rich in proteins that are easily absorbed into your hair and scalp. It hydrates and moisturises and makes it particularly beneficial for dry, frizzy, or brittle hair. This oil is also high in anti-antioxidants, essential fatty acids and amino acids. This is the frizz tamer.
ACAI OIL
This oil is known as a colour protectant as it shields your hair from fading. It penetrates the hair shaft to treat dry damaged hair, making it soft and shiny. It contains a rich source of nourishing Omega-3s.
SHEA BUTTER
And because you can never have too many nourishing ingredients, we have included shea butter for its high volume of Vitamins A, E & F. It is used as a very conditioning treatment for the hair and scalp.
ORYZA SATIVA BRAN OIL
Also known as Rice Bran Oil, don’t get this one confused with the cooking oil though. This oil comes from a very small, concentrated area of the rice bran. It nourishes the scalp and treats dandruff. It also provides a protective coating on the hair shaft and locks in moisture. Used in Eastern traditions for centuries, it is thought that the compound ferulic acid acts as a hair growth stimulant by extending the Anagen phase of the hair. Also containing linoleic acid which has been shown to work as a DHT blocker. Full of omegas 3 & 6. Plus, it helps to protect against UV damage.
BIOTIN (Vitamin B7)
Biotin stimulates keratin production which is the protein hair is made from and can increase the rate of growth.
PANTHENOL (Vitamin B5)
This once was chosen because of its moisturising abilities and capacity for making hair shinier and fuller.
TOCOPHEROL (Vitamin E)
It has been shown to assist hair growth while nourishing the hair and scalp. It reduces the amount of oxidative stress thereby preventing breakage of the hair. Vitamin E stimulates the capillaries thereby increasing blood flow to the scalp and encouraging hair growth. But even better, its known for making your hair super shiny and locks in moisture.
Phew, and that is just the star ingredients.
